Abstract

The article deals with the problems of liberal reforms in Russia, describes the features of the economic crises of the last thirty years. The author expresses the point of view on the essence, nature and social effectiveness of the ongoing transformations, reveals the dynamics, nature and pace of development of the economy and social sphere. The conclusion about the limits of reserves and opportunities of the chosen liberal model of economic development is substantiated. The data of the sociological research conducted under the supervision of the author are given monitoring “How do you live, Russia?” about the attitude of citizens to the domestic policy of the Russian state and foreign policy priorities, about the effects of sanctions announced by the United States and other countries. Recommendations are formulated for government agencies.
