- Abstract
- The article is a report on the All-Russian Conference with international participation "Pragmatic Potential of Verb Categories in the Russian Language", held in November 2024 at Lomonosov Moscow State University. The conference focused on a comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms for realizing the pragmatic potential of verbal categories, derivatives, forms and constructions in the Russian language based on texts of various types and genres, including colloquial and dialectal, and in comparison with other languages. The conference was attended by scientists from leading Russian universities and academic institutes, as well as Slavists and Russian studies specialists from Belarus and Armenia. 42 reports were presented, covering a wide range of issues related to the pragmatics of the verb in synchrony and diachrony, in the literary language and dialects, in original texts and translations.
