Abstract
The article covers the issue of forming of some kinds of ceramics of the Samosdelka fortified settlement. The analysis of the morphological features of vessels shows that some kinds of pottery jars, mugs, milk jars, pots and bowls had been made as replicas of metal samples. Their analogues are found in the ceramics of Sogdiana where the tradition of making pottery replicas to metal vessels was common. It is proved by the finds of specific handles of pottery vessels in the materials of Samosdelka fortified settlement which analogues have been found on the forms made of precious metals. Humchas, which have been found at Samosdelka, are also originated from the territory of the Central Asia. Their analogues have been found in the materials of the fortified settlements of the Syr Darya River basin. Considering the results of studying of molded cauldrons of the fortified settlement the penetration of the eastern traditions should be connected with Turkic nomads. Finding out the origins of basic forms of the Samosdelka pottery ceramics is of a great interest for studying the problems of the developing of the material culture of the adjacent regions and first and foremost of Volga Bulgaria.
