Abstract

The article analyses the struggle of Montenegrins with Belgrade for their independence in the period when they belonged to the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians (from 1929 – the Kingdom of Yugoslavia). It depicts economic and social conditions of the population of the country, characterises political life in the kingdom.
