- Abstract
- The article reconstructs the key elements of the structure and content in the Memoires of the famous Polish writer of the late seventeenth century Jan Chryzostom Pasek, who is considered the founder of the Polish literature. Among others, the article considers the main genre features of this narrative (silva rerum), its propensity for oral forms, the use of mythological motives and plots, elements typical for Paseks language.
