- Abstract
- In a number of recent publications in Russia, the old concept of the Soviet historiography underlining that the Hungarian revolution of 1956 was inspired by the Western secret services, which were pursuing their subversive goals, has been reanimated. Nevertheless, a more scrupulous archival research demonstrates inconsistency of such speculations.
