- Abstract
- Organised manifestations of dissatisfaction with the Socialist regime, which are usually called the dissident movement, broke up in Bulgaria in the late 1980s. This circumstance let some historians call it «delayed». Nevertheless, despite their late coming into being and specific forms of activities, Bulgarian «informal» organizations – in the period of deep social-economic and political crisis – were capable of creating favorable political atmosphere for transitions to democracy and market economy.
