Abstract
As it is known, there were two resistance movements in Yugoslavia: Tito's partisans and Mihailovich' Chetniks. Until 1942, the USSR tried to establish contacts with the Chetniks through the Istanbul mission and pre-war agents residing in Yugoslavia. Information about Mihailovich was also provided by Soviet spies in Britain, and by Soviet prisoners of war, sheltered by the Chetniks. As a result, the Soviet Union formed a negative attitude towards the Chetniks and gave up from the plans of cooperation with them.
