- Abstract
- The Hungarian politician and writer József Eötwös and the Russian writer Nikolai Gogol were contemporaries and worked in comparable social and cultural milieus. For this reason, one might fi nd parallels in their methods, attitudes to the images depicted and even in their stile. At the same time, diversity of their individualities was refl ected in signifi cant alterations and even contrasts of solutions. All this could be found in their work.
