Abstract
The article is based on a wide range of sources, including archival ones, and considers the activities of the Byelorussian National Commissariat in 1918 in Odessa. It treats the role of Commissariat in the consolidation of Byelorussians who were living in Odessa and Odessa Region, and in the securing of their connections with the home-country.
