- Abstract
- In the present article, the unique texts from the hand-written Chronograph of the seventeenth century are for the fi rst time published and researched. They contain a legendary account - composed for the Polish king - of the events of the Time of Troubles, telling about behaviour of captured Tsar Vasili Shuyskiy. This document also contains the apocryphal correspondence of the Ottoman Sultan with the Polish king, and Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich, which is interwoven with the so called Turkish problematic, popular in the west-European political writings of the fi fteenth-seventeenth centuries.
