- Abstract
- The article presents an analysis of the views modern Russian scholars on the problem of totalitarianism in general und its left modifi cation in the form of Stalinism in the USSR and regimes of the Soviet type in Eastern Europe. The article stresses the interdependence between this historical phenomenon of the twentieth century on the one hand and urbanization and industrialization on the other.
