- Abstract
- A comparison of two church publicists of the second quarter of the sixteenth century, Metropolitan Daniil and Maximus the Greek, is based on the analysis of intention, implementation and reception of their creative work. The subject of investigation are dialogic relations of Maximus the Greek’s «Judicial list» («Sudnyj spisok»), «Epistle to Daniil» («Poslaniye Daniilu») and «Answer to the Saint Council» («Otvet Svyatomu Soboru»), architectonics of the author codices, and functioning of similar motives in the writers’ works.
