- Abstract
- Throughout the XX century a number of the first-rate mathematicians and physiciststheorists spoke in favor of the thesis on “unreasonable effectiveness” of mathematics in the natural sciences. To explain this phenomenon, some of them involved of objective (independent of the subject of cognition) existence of mathematical objects ascending to the Plato's World of Ideas concepts. The article provides five arguments against this thesis and these representations. Among these arguments are the reasons on the intuitive nature of additivity.
