- Abstract
- The concept of “cultural extension” proposed by J. Alexander in order to understand the criteria of success of social performance is discussed. The uncertainty of this conception is demonstrated. The author tries to explicate its content reverting to its theoretical origins and to description of the elements of Japaneese tea ceremony as a performance.
