Abstract

The article considers various aspects of the conception of “the death of the author”. The content of major literary and philosophical categories emphasizing the incompleteness and inconsistency of the conception “death of the author” is deliberated. Inappropriateness of application of the “death of the author” conception to a real literary process is demonstrated.
