Abstract
The article by the outstanding Soviet psychologist L.S. Vygotsky was first published in 1930. It considers the philosophical aspects of Human development problems and of the overcoming of alienation. In the article L.S. Vygotsky appears as a profound social thinker, adhering to humanistic interpretation of Marxism. He was one of the first to put socio-ethical and humanistic issues of the possible interference with the human corporeality constants. In the introductory article by S.N. Korsakov the outline of the historical context of the article emergence is given. The contrast between Vygotsky text on the one hand, and typical Stalinist era articles on the “fabrication” of the “new man” on the other, is underlined. The humanistic nature of ideas by the ingenious Soviet psychologist is emphasized. The publication is dated for “the Year of Vygotsky” proclaimed in connection with the 120-th anniversary of the birth of the scientist in 2016.
