Abstract
Based on the findings of philosophers, economists, psychologists, lawyers, sociologists etc. are defined the moral level of Russian society in the early XXI century - the "moral degradation" are used; developed quantitative indicators - the index of the moral state of society (INSO) on the basis of which traces the dynamics of the evolution of Russian society in the years of reform; highlights the causes and consequences of the fall of manners; the ways of spiritual revival as a key factor and precondition of economic recovery and overall spiritual revival of the nation.
