Abstract
The article analyzes some features of changes in the practices of interaction between the host society and temporary labor migrants that occur under the influence of the new migration legislation and migration policy of the Russian Federation. Special attention is paid to the study of social mechanisms for reflecting the contradictions of migration legislation in the destructive practices of employers, intermediaries, and individual institutions of the host society. Ways to overcome the emerging destructions at the institutional and non-institutional levels are proposed.
