Abstract
Social convergence is defined, its importance as a general sociological factor of the historical process is characterized. The contradictory attitude of Marxists to convergence is revealed: the development of the Marxist theory of convergence is of great scientific and practical importance, especially in Russia, where the integration of the efforts of labor collectives and entrepreneurship could play a strategic role in solving major problems.
