Abstract
The article is devoted to a qualitative study of the stories of eyewitnesses of the meteorite fall in Chelyabinsk. Based on the frame analysis of 40 narratives received directly on the day of the incident, a scheme of interpretation and connotation of an atypical event in a person's daily life is built, and ways of understanding a non-standard situation from the standpoint of subjective and emotional perception of its narrators are recorded and generalized.
