- Abstract
- The article deals with the features of modern ideas of Russians about happiness, opportunities and ways to achieve it, analyzes the socio-psychological aspects of building a happy life. The main attention is paid to finding out the weight of the factors that influence the formation and preservation of a state of happiness. Difficulties that prevent the formation of a positive emotional state and mental comfort are characterized. The dependence of happiness on age and level of education, social status and employment, material well-being and physical health is investigated. It was found out that, despite the variety of ways to find a happy life, as well as the individuality and subjectivity of happiness itself, such a state can be long-term and lasting only when it is based on an economic Foundation that provides, if not a decent, then at least an acceptable standard of living. As the standard of living increases, non-material circumstances that help people feel happy come to the fore. Analysis of the impact of marriage on happiness shows that being married, increasing the feeling of happiness in individual men and women does not increase the total number of happy people.
