Abstract

It is proved that the Russian Germans are one of the peoples of Russia. The main problems of preserving the ethnic group of Russian Germans are considered. It is argued that the Russian Germans in Germany can be regarded as a di aspora, and the Russian Germans in Russia as a geographically dispersed nation. Priority steps to preserve the ethnic group of Russian Germans in Russia are proposed.
