- Abstract
- This articles uggests etymologies for several wordsof East Slavic languages. The majority of the mare lexemes of Russian dialects. Ten sketches are provided: to Old Russian netishche, to Russian dial. (donsk.) protryapnut to dry after rain’ (about the earth), to Russian dial (severodvinsk.) metrichat «to drizzle, to become damp» (about the weather), to Russian dial. oklemyozok «a clumsy man», to Russian dial. (donsk.) khorduny «fabric remnants», to Russian dial. (vyatsk.) lakinya «a strip of water between a bank and the edge of ice», «an opening in the ice of rivers or lakes, or a place left unfrozen», to Russian dial. (arkhang. mezen., ural.) posovo «rotten wood», to Russian dial. (arkhang.) bak’man (snyega) «a ball», to Russian dial. (karel.) khorobit «to cook, to bake», Russian dial. (zabaikal.) runko «rainy».
