- Abstract
- The multi-layer settlement Kültepe I is one of the most famous Transcaucasian sites. The results of its excavations were published by O. Abibullaev more than 30 years ago. A French-Azerbaijani expedition resumed the investigation on the site in 2013. This small-scale fieldwork was aimed at the further elaboration of the site dating. It appears that the lower layers of Kültepe I date mainly to the Neolithic and, probably, to the early Eneolithic.
