- Abstract
- The article introduces the concept of "offi cial Slavic studies", which defi nes studies on the Balkan Slavs pursued, in the fi rst half of the nineteenth century, under the patronage of respective ministerial departments. In this regard, the works of the Russian military and diplomatic offi cials S.A. Sankovskiy, A.G. Rozelion-Sashalskiy, Y.N. Ozeretskovskiy, E.P. Kovalevskiy and, in more detail, I.P. Liprandi are considered.
