Abstract

The article analyses how writers were related to the political trials in the «Stalin‘s» Czechoslovakia. Some of them took the side of the imprisoned or prosecuted victims; others joined the co-authors of the propagandist campaigns. This narrowly defined topic correlates nevertheless with a wide cultural and political Czech context of 1948-1956 and long-term phenomena and tendencies of the national being.
