- Abstract
- The article is devoted to the Ukrainian motives in the work of Mikhail Lermontov. The author comes to the conclusion that special appeal of the poet to the Ukrainian plots and images were subordinated, fi rst of all, to major artistic tasks. Studying of the Ukrainian digressions in the works of Lermontov, or evidence of his personal contacts with the natives from the province of Little Russia (Malorossiya) proves that destinies of the two Slavic peoples were inseparable for the poet.
