- Abstract
- The article deals with the work of Ukrainian independent literary critics treating the poetry and prose of Taras Shevchenko. A special emphasis is put on the neo-mythological, feminist, and psychoanalytical studies. The author comes to the conclusion, that a comprehensive approach, which considers Shevchenko’s poetics together with philosophic and esthetic foundations of the great Ukrainian poet’s work are scholarly most expedient.
