- Abstract
- The article considers two versions of Russian ethnic classifi cation in the eighteenth- nineteenth centuries, the ethno-cultural and linguistic ones. These two models of ethnical identifi cation are analysed against the background of discussions about the hierarchies of various markers of ethnicity in human sciences.
