- Abstract
- The article explores an ill-studied issue of modern history-writing, namely the steps made by the Albanian Communist regime in the 1970s to get prepared to a possible crisis in the neighbouring Yugoslavia. Enver Hoxha, the leader of the Party of Labour of Albania, was concerned with a possible political confl ict in the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia and in the Balkan region as a whole. He worked out a plan of a military operation in case Albania would be endangered by the two blocks, the Warsaw Treaty and the NATO, or any.
