Abstract
The Russian-Romanian military cooperation during World War One was not reduced to joint combats, but the Russian Empire was forced to broaden its support in the sphere of supplies for the Romanian army and civil population. In the military catastrophe of October-November 1916, the capitulation of Bucharest, and retreat of the Russian boarder-line, creation of the new Romanian Front required providing the Romanian ally with a wide nomenclature of fighting and quartermaster’s allowances, of which the most important were probably food and fodder supplies organised by the Russian side. During the revolutionary process of 1917 and degradation of the Russian army, the Romanian leadership, who succeeded in keeping their troops battle-worthy, got most favourable conditions of provision and supply from Russia.
