- The Primary Chronicle (Povest vremennykh let) was orientated on the biblical tradition of recounting world history. Transformation of the view on history, including the early history of Rus, was connected with the maturation of the medieval statehood, quasi-historical constructions and fi ction (The legend of the Princes of Vladimir).
