Abstract
The article deals with linguistic analysis of the «Russian» Czech translation of New Testament of Nikolai Apraksin in the Church-Slavic-Czech edition of 1892–1897. Language characteristics of the text let make a conclusion about consequent ChurchSlavic interference on different linguistic levels inspired by the translator’s desire to actualise «common Slavic» elements in the Czech literary language. This was an attempt to go back to the ideal of a common Slavic liturgical language and the common for all Slavs heritage of Cyril and Method.
