Abstract
The article considers the biography, academic and pedagogical activities of the celebrated expert in the Polish language and literature Mikhail Boguslavsky. Particular attention is paid to his activities in Kazakhstan in the 1950s – 1960s, his contribution to the Polish studies and Slavic studies in the universities of Kazakhstan.
