- Abstract
- For a number of years Poland has been witnessing a heated debate over IVF and its legal, moral, and medical aspects. Embryos especially those in a frozen state have been featured among the principal figures in this debate. Polish politicians were keen to notice and seize the hidden potential of embryos as citizens deprived of votes which could be used for political purposes. Embryos have also been in the center of attention of those who resorted to IVF themselves. Their struggle against infertility is affected by thinking about the quality and quantity of embryos, their cryopreservation, transfer, lining, and acclimation.
