Abstract

For the first time an up-to-date Russian translation of DIALOGUE BETWEEN A SAVAGE AND A BACHELOR OF ARTS that was published by Voltaire in 1761 is presented. Voltaire speaking on behalf of the Savage entered into polemics with J.-J. Rousseau, G.W. Leibniz and R. Descartes on the most controversial metaphysical, ethical and political and legal problems that were being discussed in the Age of Enlightenment.
