Abstract
Based on the study of statistical data, expert assessments, the results of sociological research, the legislation of the Russian Federation, the situation in the field of education of individuals with disabilities in Russia is analyzed. The possibilities of education of people with severe disabilities in contemporary Russian society; identify and analyse barriers to access by persons with disabilities to education on the level of preschool, General secondary and higher education.
