Abstract
The article based on the Milorad Pavić’s novel «Dictionary of the Khazars» considers the author’s attitude towards history, historical sources and time category. The formal organization of the novel allows M.Pavić to offer several historically argued versions of the events what calls the objectivity of the sources in question, and emphasizes multivariance of history.
