Abstract
The article deals with the literary situation in the Republic of Slovenia in the 1950s, when was made the fi rst step towards the liberation of literature from the ideological dependence. Split between Tito and Stalin minimized the implementation of the Soviet model of socialist realism. The growing interest of young authors to the avant-garde, methods of the modern art gave impetus to the formation of a new aesthetic system based on the polyphony of different trends.
